Biography
After a game in Chicago, Bostock visited his uncle. While stopped at a light, a car pulled up alongside them. The driver of the second car fired one shot from a shotgun. The assailant, Leonard Smith, did not even know Bostock. The blast was intended for his estranged wife, who was along for the ride as a guest of Bostock's uncle. The blast missed the woman but struck Bostock in the left temple and he died two hours later. Bostock had known the woman in the car for about 20 minutes.
